Hosts Bishops scored 10 tries as they beat Eton College 62-10 on day one of the Independent Schools Rugby Festival on Saturday.
It took Bishops just 45 seconds to score their first try of the match. Their second only came 20 minutes later, but that opened the floodgates as they ran in four more tries to lead 38-0 at the break.
The hosts added two more tries early in the second half, before Eton crossed for their first try.
But Bishops scored two more converted tries to hammer home the victory, while Eton scored their second try late in the match.
In the day’s other fixtures, St Andrew’s College ran in four second-half tries as they beat St David’s Marist 52-5, Kearsney smashed St Alban’s 67-7, Kingswood scored a late try to beat Michaelhouse 29-24 after trailing 17-10 at half-time, and Clifton scored 26 unanswered second-half points to beat Reddam 31-3.
