Rondebosch ran in four tries to beat Wynberg 29-8 at home on Saturday.
Fullback Mike Mavovana and right wing Amani Minani each scored two tries with inside centre Sam Craigg’s boot responsible for the rest of the points.
Craigg opened the scoring with a fourth-minute penalty, before Mavovana scored a converted try after gathering a neat chip kick.
Minani scored Rondebosch’s second try on the stroke of half-time, which Craigg converted from right in front.
Wynberg had just one penalty goal from flyhalf Dominic Coetzer to show for their efforts as they trailed 17-3 at the break.
The hosts continued to play in Wynberg territory, with Mavovana and Minani scoring their second tries.
Wynberg did cross the line through inside centre Christiaan Colborn, but it came as scant consolation.
