Glenwood beat Dale 32-5, while there were also wins for Framesby, EG Jansen and HTS Middelburg at the Kearsney Easter Festival on Monday.
Glenwood and Dale were both unbeaten going into their final festival match, having won their two previous games, but it was the side from Durban who made it three from three.
Glenwood opened the scoring early on through Marco Palvie. Martin Holtzhausen converted the try and kicked two penalties to make it 13-0. Dale hit back with a try from fullback Aphelele Fassi. Holtzhausen then converted his own try just before the break to put his side in front 20-5.
Glenwood’s forwards dominated in the second half, with flanker Kevin Smit and wing JC Conradie adding their names to the scoresheet to give their side a resounding victory.
In Monday’s other matches, SACS and Selborne played to a 10-10 draw, Framesby thumped Noord-Kaap 66-17, EG Jansen scored seven tries as they thrashed Maritzburg 47-8 and HTS Middelburg beat hosts Kearsney 22-10.
