Glenwood beat Toin Gakuen High School 52-3 in their second match at the Sanix World Youth Tournament.
The Green Machine led 19-3 at half-time before more than doubling their score in the second half to hammer home the victory.
Winger GJ Lubbe scored Glenwood’s first points when he went over with 10 minutes to play in the first half. This was followed by converted tries from flank and captain Austin Brummer and fullback Dylan Kruger. Centre Martin Holtzhausen added the extras.
Toin Gakuen only managed a single penalty goal as Glenwood took a 19-3 lead into the break.
Glenwood ran rampant in the second half, scoring five unanswered tries, including a hat-trick from Holtzhausen. Flyhalf Francke Botha and wing Devon Brough also added their names to the scoresheet before the full-time whistle.
