Grey High will host Eastern Cape rivals St Andrew’s in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
St Andrew’s, who have lost two away games this season, will face a tough challenge against Grey High, who have yet to be defeated on their home turf in 2016.
Grey have won all four of their home fixtures against Brandwag (45-12), Parktown (27-8), DHS (16-17) and Wynberg Boys’ (31-17).
Saturday’s hosts have also recorded six wins from their eight away games this season, losing only to Paul Roos (36-21) in a Premier Interschools match and 24-20 to Daniel Pienaar a week later. They started their season with a big win over Stirling (50-0) at the Graeme College Rugby Day, before going unbeaten at the St Stithians Easter Festival with wins over Westville Boys’ (29-6), Bishops (44-0) and Michaelhouse (39-15). Last weekend, they smashed Graeme College 52-12.
St Andrew’s lost their first home game of the season against Selborne (26-17) last weekend, after winning their previous three home fixtures against Pearson (50-3), St Stithians (59-24) and Graeme College (23-7).
Their two away losses were against Bishops (27-17) and DHS (31-17) in their final game at the St Stithians Easter Festival – they won their first two festival games against Pretoria Boys’ (36-8) and St Alban’s (14-8).
