Hilton beat St Andrew’s College 25-17 on day three of the Independent Schools Rugby Festival at Bishops.
The KZN side raced out to an early 10-0 lead with a converted try and a penalty, before St Andrew’s hit back with a converted try.
Hilton extended their lead to six points, opting to kick for poles upon receiving a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
Hilton’s lead was again reduced to three points as St Andrew’s College added a penalty kick to their tally early in the second half. But the KZN side hit back with two tries in five minutes to open up a 15-point lead after 38 minutes.
