Jeppe Boys’ High School have published a book that celebrates the school’s 125-year history.
It includes a detailed history of the boys, girls and prep schools as well as Jeppe’s Quondam Sports Club, and interesting stories about old boys and girls.
The book also details the school’s rich sporting history and acknowledges those students who went on to compete at international level.
‘We have listed all our international players, whether it be from rugby, cricket, hockey, etc,’ Robins, a member of the JBA board of directors, told SARugbymag.co.za ‘There are 64 different sports, representing 14 different countries, for which we have players with international colours – not just SA colours. That’s 254 players in total.
‘We included a section about our rivals’ schools and listed their international players for cricket and rugby, specifically, as well. We’ve also listed all of our world-record and South African-record holders, as well as those who have gone on to become sports managers and coaches.’
The book was officially launched last Saturday and is available to order from Kevin Robins at [email protected]
