Four newcomers will take part in a 12-team festival at King Edward VII.
The KES Easter Rugby and Hockey Festival started in 2002. It was only intended as a once-off event for the school’s centenary celebrations. However, given the success the event turned out to be, it quickly became an important part of the annual calendar at KES.
THIS YEAR’S PARTICIPANTS
Only one of the top-20 ranked schools for 2015 will be present at the 2016 festival, Hoërskool Eldoraigne. In 2015, 16 schools participated, whereas this year only 12 will. Four of these schools did not participate in the 2015 tournament – St Benedict’s College, Hoërskool Waterkloof, Hoër Landbouskool Marlow, and Jeppe High School for Boys.
