Queen’s College beat Framesby 20-12 on day two of the Grey High Rugby Festival having trailed 12-0 early on.
Framesby fullback Riaan van Rensburg drew first blood when he crossed the line, with flanker Bernard McDonald following shortly after. Van Rensburg added one conversion.
Shortly before the break, Queen’s got on to the scoreboard from a powerful drive that carried prop Dale Venske over the whitewash.
Queen’s winger Asi Mrubata made a break from 50m out to cross the line, with replacement Chris Hollis kicking the conversion to draw the scores level.
Lock Aaron Brody was next to dot down and in the final moments of the match, Hollis slotted a penalty to put the game away.
In other matches, St Alban’s and Muir College drew 10-10, with St David’s and Ithembelihle locked at 12-12. Dale College claimed an emphatic 60-7 win over Goudveld, Daniël Pienaar beat Hudson Park 15-12, Parktown Boys’ cruised past Pearson 36-5, Graeme College went down 34-19 to Stirling, and the hosts saw off DHS 13-7.
