Paarl Gym have replaced Paul Roos as the No 1-ranked team in South Africa, following their 20-19 win over the Maroon Machine on Saturday.
Hooker Chris Rossouw, son of former Bok hooker Chris, scored a last-gasp try to give Gym a dramatic one-point victory in Stellenbosch. The result sees the teams swap places on Rugby365’s rankings.
Elsewhere in the top 10, Drostdy rose to sixth after a superb 24-13 win over hosts Oakdale, while Glenwood moved up to eighth, after beating Westville 38-12.
KES broke into the top 10 with a seven-place climb from 16th to ninth, after beating Waterkloof 28-25, with Klofies dropping from sixth to 10th.
The bottom half of the rankings saw a bigger reshuffle, with Kearsney, Eldoraigne and Selborne all moving up after securing wins over the weekend.
SACS, Rondebosch and Framesby are the new additions to the top 20, at the expense of Dale, HTS Middelburg and Garsfontein.
