Captain and flyhalf Keegan Marengo scored 16 points as St Benedict’s beat St Stithians 36-29 on Friday.
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, but brought forward as both schools opted for a long weekend.
The hosts led 15-12 at the break, but St Benedict’s scored three converted second-half tries to secure the win.
Left wing Shingirai Hlanguyo scored the visitors’ two first-half tries, with Marengo converting the second.
St Benedict’s second-half tries were scored by scrumhalf Sean Kruger, Marengo and flank Jordan Mbayamba. Marengo converted all three and slotted a drop goal to wrap up his side’s eighth win from 15 games this season.
