Western Province beat KwaZulu-Natal 12-5 in the unofficial final of the U13 Craven Week at Paarl Gym.
It was the fourth consecutive year that WP had won the main match at this level.
Left wing Jade Filanie opened the scoring for the home side in the 19th minute with an unconverted try. The Sharks hit back with an unconverted try from centre Londani Mpungose just before the break to level the scores.
WP wing Reece Montsumi then scored a self-converted try early in the second half and they kept KZN at bay to claim the win.
Meanwhile, SWD scored 18 unanswered second-half points to beat the Golden Lions 23-14, prop Kevin Locke scored four tries to help the Blue Bulls to a 38-20 win against the Valke, and Free State fought back to beat the Griffons 31-26 after trailing 19-12 at half-time.
